100
Year Old Portraits Overview: These are for the 100th day of school.
Remind the students that they are NOT making their grandparents, who are probably not even close to 100.
1- On a half sheet of black construction paper draw simple stripes for wallpaper background.
2- Glue one of the shirt shaped pieces of pattern scrapbook paper to the bottom of the page.
3- Choose either an oval or a circle for the head.
4- Draw a face on the head, include a lot of wrinkles. Trace eyes, nose, and mouth with the sharpie. Trace the wrinkles with a ballpoint pen.
5- Decorate the shirt with any of the following: buttons and doilie lace collars, paper ties, cardigans or suspenders.
6-Glue the head just above the shirt add ears if needed.
7- Lightly color the cheeks or nose in pink.
8-Decide where you want your hair by applying glue to the page wherever you want the hair. Remind the kids that old men have large eyebrows and facial hair. Pull apart the cotton balls to make hair, put it onto the glue on your paper.
